Everything You Need to Create Your Custom Spares Packaging

To make the artwork process fast and easy, we provide downloadable templates for all custom Spares products. Each template includes the exact dimensions, bleed areas, safe zones, and print requirements needed to ensure your artwork prints crisply and correctly on every unit.

Whether you’re a touring merchandiser, a band’s in-house designer, a record label art department, or an event branding team, these templates will guide you through creating perfect print-ready files. If you need assistance, let us know. You can send us the art and we can place it.

How the Templates Work

Each template includes:

  • Correct file dimensions for Spares poly mailer packaging

  • Bleed and trim guides to show where background art must extend

  • Safe zone indicators to ensure text and logos don’t get cut off

  • Color profile requirements (CMYK)

  • Minimum DPI (300)

  • Notes on placement and layout

These templates ensure your design translates accurately from screen to print.

Available Templates

You will see download links for:

1. Packaging Template (Required for All Orders)

This is the main artwork file used on the custom mailer each pair ships in.

2. 3-Inch Sticker Template (Included for 500+ Orders)

For larger orders, a free custom sticker is included.
This template ensures your sticker art prints cleanly and on-brand.

How to Use the Templates

  1. Download the template files
    (Included are: .PSD, .AI)

  2. Open the file in your design software
    Photoshop, Illustrator. (If you need assistance or don’t have editing software, let us know)

  3. Place your artwork inside the safe area
    Make sure all key elements stay clear of the trim lines.

  4. Extend backgrounds into the bleed area
    This prevents white edges after cutting.

  5. Use CMYK color mode and 300 DPI
    This ensures accurate, high-quality printing.

  6. Export as a print-ready PDF or PNG
    Save at full resolution with no compression.
    Make sure to SHUT OFF any guides so there are no blue lines on your art.

  8. Note: if files are too big to send, WeTransfer has a free option, you just drop it in and use our email and send it.
